4.3.3 Filling the piston chamber and universal capillary holder with oil

Prerequisites

The piston is in the starting position.

1. Screw the filling hose on to the tip.

2. Aspirate at least 3mL of oil into the syringe.

1. Turn the rotary knob to move the piston to

the initial position.

2. Unscrew the blind screw.

3. Screw the filling tube in the filling bore.

1. Hold the CellTram vertically.

2. Push some oil into the piston chamber.

During the first filling, air bubbles may be

present between the piston and the cylinder.

3. Allow these bubbles to rise by moving the

rotary knob or coarse drive back and forth.
